Bee Bops is continually seeking the best quality teachers and staff for our program.

We are currently seeking applications/resumes for the following positions: Teachers

Teachers - This position you will work as a support teacher with a lead teacher as well as time with your own group of children. The ability to follow direction as well as take initiative is important in this position. No prior child care experience or degree required. Start date immediately. Pay DOE and starts at 10.00 per hour. MUST BE AVAILABLE between the hours of 7am- 6pm Monday - Friday. Typical hours range between 30-40 hours a week.


Float Teacher (infant, toddler, preschool)- This position you will work as a support teacher with a lead teacher as well as time with your own group of children. The ability to follow direction as well as take initiative is important in this position. No prior child care experience or degree is required. Start date flexible. Pay DOE and starts at 10.00 per hour. This is a part time position. Priority is given to candidates available during all our business hours but consideration will be taken regarding limited availability for the right candidate.

Qualifications of all positions:

*Must be enrolled in the Criminal Background Registry prior to hire.

*Must have or obtain upon hire CPR/1st Aid, Food Handler card, Child Abuse and Neglect training as well as participate in 15 hours of continuing education training each year.

*Must have a desire and ability to work within the classroom including supervision of children, maintaining and setting up classrooms for use, ability to direct and facilitate children including conflict resolution. Other duties include but not limited to possible food prep, diaper changing/potty training, curriculum development, parent communication, and documentation of the day.

* Open availability between the hours of 7:00 am- 6:00 pm Mon thru Fri. Must be available to work a variety of shifts, you will be scheduled within the hours of 7:00 am-6:00 pm. Shift lengths vary typically between 4-9 hrs.

*Able to commit to a year or more

*Must be able to meet physical demands: requires lifting, carrying (pushing and even pulling) up to 30-50lbs. Prolonged and short periods of sitting, standing, and walking may be required. Stooping, kneeling, bending, balancing, reaching, and use of the hands may occur throughout the workday. Lift and carry children ages 6 weeks to 5 years. Must be able to work indoors or outdoors for long periods of time during the day

*Ability to lead and facilitate a group of children (max size is 4 infant/toddlers, 10 preschoolers per staff member)

*Have reliable transportation. 

*Have an impeccable attendance record

Additional Specifics of each position:

Teachers/Float Teachers- Must be at least 18 years of age, and meet the state requirements of Assistant 2 for Certified Family Child Cares. (requirements met by obtaining the above mentioned training's.)

Lead Teachers- Must be at least 18 years of age, but ideally at least 21 years of age, have 1 year or more experience or equivalent ECE education or at least a step 8 in the Oregon registry, and meet the state requirements of Assistant 2 for Certified Family Child Cares. (requirements met by obtaining the above mentioned training's.)
